Sakura sat on her bed, staring at the phone. Li was in town and she knew, not for very long and she wanted to spend all her time with him. But she didn't have the courage to just pick up the phone and call him.
"Arghhh!!" She flopped down on the bed and burried her head in her pillow. "I just want to ask him for tea!" She yelled at no one in paticular.
Kero floated over to her, looking at her funny. "Sakura... I'm starving!!" He whined.
"Just a second Kero!" She flung a pillow at him, which he just managed to dodge.
"Once you phone the Li kid, can I get something to eat around here?!"
She glared at him and nodded, then shoved her head back into the pillow. There were some clicking noises and beeping, but Sakura didn't bother to lift her head up.
"Hey, is this the Li kid?" Kero asked. Sakura shot up.
In Li's apartment. "What do you want stuffed animal?" He asked rudely.
"I am not a stuffed animal!!!" Kero screamed into the phone. Sakura just sat there dumb founded, not really clueing in. "Anyway.. Sakura wants to talk to you. Not that you deserve to know!"
Li blushed then heard on the other end a thudding noise followed by, "Kero!!!! I wasn't ready yet!! That's it! No more cupcakes for you!"
"What!!? You can't do that!" Kero whined back.
"I'm your master, I can do what I want." Sakura replied cooly.
There was some grumbling that obviously came from Kero then Li decided to speak.
"Ummm... Sakura?" He asked slowly.
Sakura sweatdropped. "Sorry Li... I was just wondering... if... u would like to come over to watch a movie and have dinner." She blurted out.
He smiled to himself. "Of course I would."
"Can you come over around 3 then tomorrow?"
"Alright." he said happily
"Great! See you tomorrow Li!" She hung up the phone and flopped back onto the bed. "He said Yes!" She squilled to herself.
Kero floated over again, this time more caustiously. "Ummm... about that food...?" She shot a death glare at him, making him back away.
***The next day***
Li drove up to Sakura's house (in his fancy new GREEN convertable), and walked up to the front door. He knocked politely and waited. Shortly after, Sakura came to the door, wearing a sleeveless pink turtle neck and a white knee length skirt. Pink stones formed a cherry blossom at the bottom corner of the skirt that made the outfit look totally adorible on her. But, to Li, everything looked beautiful on her.
"Hi Li!" She gave him a hug and stepped aside to let him in. "I just finished the dinner."
Li looked around caustiously before taking his shoes off.
Sakura noticed this." Don't worry Li.." She said laughing, "Tori's not here. He lives on Campus now."
He sighed in relief and stepped in.
Sakura got the meal of fried rice and dim sum, and they sat down and ate quitely. They both didn't know what to say, or do except eat.
She stood up after finishing her meal, seeing that Li was done to. "I'll go get dessert." She said cheerfully walking over to the kitchen.
She came out shortly with a huge chocolate cake, that made Li drool. She giggled seeing his reaction. "I thought you'd like it."
She cut him and piece and he instintly dug in. "This is really good Sakura!" He commented through bites. She laughed and stood up again after cutting a piece.
"I'm gonna bring this up to Kero, he'd be mad if I didn't save him a piece." She walked up the stairs with the plate and into her room, Kero sat playing his video game, but turned it off when he saw what she was carrying.
"Oh thank you, thank you!" He said happily, tears of joys streaming down his face.
"Kero, it's just cake!" She said giggling. "And cut it out, or you're gonna make it soggy!"
She went back downstairs, to find Li not at the table anymore. "Li?" She called out to him. She headed to the kitchen when she heard noises. She peered in to see him doing the dishes. "What are you doing Li?"
"I'm cleaning up my mess." He said simply, looking back at her with a smile. She blushed.
"But, you don't have to worry about that, I can do the dishes."
"But, it's my mess Sakura." She walked over to him. "And since you made me that meal, it's the least I can do."
She sighed. "Hey, you're cleaning my mess too!"
"So...?"
She decided not to argue with him anymore, and jumped up onto the counter beside him. "You deffinitly have changed..." She said after a while, smiling sweetly at him.
He looked at her in confusion. "What do you mean? Is that bad?"
She giggled. "No, it's good. You used to be so mean to me when we first met and were rivals for the clow cards."
He smiled. "That was a long time ago..."
"I know.. but I deffinitly like you better this way!" She replied cheerfully.
Later they went to the living room to watch a movie. Sakura was deciding which movie to watch. "What about this movie?" She asked Li over her shoulder. He got off the couch and sat beside her.
"Sakura, This is Birds!" He looked at her shocked.
"Is that bad?" She asked slightly confused.
"No, it's just that, it's a horror movie."
"Does it have ghosts?" She squiecked out.
"No..."
"Then, I'll watch it!" She said smiling.
He sighed and put it in.
Only around 10 minutes into the movie, Sakura was cowering up to Li and jumping whenever something scary happened. Which, was a lot. Li even looked a bit uncomfortable from the movie.
"Umm... Li, I think we can turn it off now..." She said quietly, her head burried in his shirt.
"Yah...." He got up and turned off the tv, then sat back down with her.
She smiled brightly at him, making him melt. "I'm glade your back Li..." She put her head back on his chest and closed her eyes, drifting off to sleep. Li followed shortly, after sitting there, just letting the gental cherry blossom perfume drift him off to sleep.
***Next Day***
Sakura, Li and Madison arrived at the beach. They joined up with the gang (the girls she's hung out with in the series, Gomen nai, I don't remember all their names ^--^)
They laid out their blanket and put their bags down, (Kero was in Li's bag since Sakura's bag was full).
"It's so hot out today!" Madison said taking off the shirt she had over her bathing suit. (She wore a baby blue tankini)
Li took off his shirt, Sakura was watching him, blushing, noticing how nicely built he was now. Madison saw this and nudged her playfully. "Madison..." she whined. (by the way, Madison was video taping this of course)
Sakura, surpressing her blush, went on to taking off her loose dress. Li turned towards her when she was and almost had a heart attack. He went bright red and tried to look away, but he couldn't. She was wearing a pink and yellow Bakini with a cherry blossoms on the top. It tied up around her neck and back and the bottoms showed her whole thigh. He gulped.
She turned to look at him, and her expression became worried. "Are you alright Li?! It looks like you have heat strock! Maybe you should sit down." She went and grabbed onto his arm, causing him to blush even more.
"M... maybe I should..." He went over and sat on the blanket, in the shade of the umbrella. Madison was having a giggling fit.
'How can she still think he's sick when he blushes even after all this time?' She asked herself.
"Come on Madison!" Sakura said happily running into the water with everyone else, she put her camera down and ran after.
Li just watched them all having splash fights. He really had to learn to control his blushing.
"Hey kid, what's with you?" Kero popped his head out from his bag.
"Nothing." He turned and glared at the 'stuffed animal'.
"Sure, that's why you're as red as a stop light." he said matter-of-factly.
Li blushed even more, then just got really ticked. He shoved Kero's head back in the bag and did up the zipper. "Much better." He said in satisfaction, hearing the muffled yelling from Kero.
Tori was walking along the beach with Julian. They were now heading back home because Tori had to go to one of his many part time jobs.
"Hey Tori, Sakura's here with her friends." Julian pointed out to him.
"Ya.. wait a second!" Tori spotted Li sitting on a beach blanket near Sakura's stuff. He walked over with Julian following behind.
"I though you went back to Hong Kong you little Gaki!" Tori yelled at Li. He jumped, obviously unaware that Tori was approuching.
He backed away a little."Well, I'm back for a while." He said as calmly as possible.
Kero heard all the commotion outside and he had an idea. He remembered what him and Li talked about the other night.
*The Other Night*
Li had just left for his house when kero flew up to him. "Wait, I want to talk to you about something!" kero yelled after him. He turned around in surprise. Kero flew infront of him.
"I just wanted to tell you, that if you do anything to hurt Sakura, don't think I won't get involved. The gaurdian beast of the seal doesn't just sit around and watch his master get hurt!" Kero said this seriously.
Li sighed and took out something from his pocket. He opened up the little case and shoved it towards Kero.
A beautiful ring sat in the small box. A cherry blossom shape made of diamonds and a pink gemstone in the center. It was on a gold band. "I would never do anything to hurt Sakura, so you'll never have that chance." He smiled a very rare smile.
***End of Flashback***
Kero poked around in Li's bag for that same ring box. He found it and unzipped the zipper. He tossed the ring out, making it land almost at Tori's feet, then he sat and watched what would happen.
Tori looked down at the little black case and picked it up. Li saw this almost went into panic mode. "Wait I.." He tried to snatch it back, but Tori moved away and opened it.
He just stood there looking at the ring, showing no emotion on his face. Julian was looking at it over his shoulder.
Li was waiting for his usual reaction but, to his surprise, it never came. Tori just calmly threw the ring back at Li and started walking away. Li looked at him totally shocked.
Tori turned towards him again. "That is for Sakura right?" He asked plainly. Li nodded.
Sakura ran up to them. Li, seeing her, threw the ring back over to his bag. "Tori, what are you doing here?" She asked, surprised that him and Li were actaully talking. "I'm allowed to come to the beach aren't I squirt." He asked. But he was looking at her diffrent then he normally would, more careing. She looked at him funny.
"Tori do you have to call me that still?" She sighed.
"It's my job. And speaking of Jobs, I need to go to mine. Bye." He continued to walk, with Julian tagging along.
Li and Sakura just stared at them. "That was odd." Sakura said quitely, then became her normal cheery self. "Come on Li, you look better now, come swimming with me!" She laughed happily, tugging on his arm.
He smiled warmly at her, then followed along.
